Ballyhaunis Transport Study – Early Engagement

Mayo County Council is preparing a Transport Study for the town of Ballyhaunis. The Transport Study will address the mobility needs of people and businesses in and around Ballyhaunis, making it a more vibrant, accessible, healthier and sustainable town for everyone. The Study will build on existing plans and planning practices and will take due consideration of integration, participation, and evaluation principles. The Study will propose measures relating to how people move around the Town, the measures will relate to street design, public transport and safer walking and cycling infrastructure.

The Objectives of the Transport Study

A main objective of the Ballyhaunis Transport Study is to meet the mobility needs of people and businesses in and around Ballyhaunis Town. The Study will introduce measures relating to how people move around the town and will include street design, public transport and safer walking and cycling infrastructure.
