Pursuant to the provisions of section 38 of the Roads Traffic Act 1994 and section 95 of the Roads Traffic Act 1961, Mayo County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to implement traffic calming measures at the following location:
On the L-5233, L-52364, L-52361 Binghamstown Village to Cross Lakes which includes Cross Abbey.
The proposed works comprise of the Civil and Road Surfacing works, which include Traffic Calming Measures, Resurfacing and Overlaying, Signage and Road Markings with all associated site works.
Drawings relating to the proposed works may be inspected
at the Belmullet Municipal District Offices (civic offices) Church Road, Belmullet Co. Mayo, F26 W5HOFrom Tuesday the 8th of July up until Friday the 8th of August from 9:00 A.M to 13:00 P.M and 14:00 P.M to 17.00 P.M.

Mayo County Council, as the competent authority, has carried out an Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report and has determined that a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development.
Mayo County Council has carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening Report and has determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environmental arising from the proposed development and has determined that an EIAR is not required.
