MCC%20Logo%20with%20Crest.pngPursuant to the provisions of Section 38 of the Roads Traffic Act 1994 and Section 95 of the Roads Traffic Act 1961, Mayo County Council hereby gives notice of its intention to implement traffic calming measures at the following location:

  •  On the L-5287-0 and L-52539-0 in Doohoma, Co Mayo.

The proposed works comprise of the Civil and Road Surfacing works, which include the following:

  • Traffic Calming Measures,
  • Resurfacing and Overlaying,
  • Footpath and kerbing works,
  • Signage and Road Markings with all associated site works.

All documentation relating to the proposed works may be inspected at the following locations;

  • the Belmullet Municipal District Offices (civic offices) Church Road, Belmullet Co. Mayo, F26 W5HO From Thursday the 4th of September up until Friday the 3rd of October from 9:30 A.M to 13:00 P.M and 14:00 P.M to 16:30 P.M.

Online at https://consult.mayo.ie/  OR in writing to Mr. Seamus Ó Mongáin Head of Westport-Belmullet Municipal District, Mayo County Council, Civic Offices, Church Road, Belmullet, Co. Mayo F26 W5HO no later than 12:00 noon on the 3rd of October 2025.  

 

Mayo County Council, as the competent authority, has carried out an Appropriate Assessment (AA) Screening Report and has determined that a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment is not required in respect of this proposed development. 

 

Mayo County Council has carried out an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Screening Report and has determined that there is no real likelihood of significant effects on the environmental arising from the proposed development and has determined that an EIAR is not required.
