Masterplan for Moorehall and Environs, County Mayo
Pursuant to Article 16 of SI No. 435/2004 - European Communities (Environmental Assessment of Certain Plans and Programmes) Regulations 2004, notice is hereby given by Mayo County Council, that the Masterplan for Moorehall and Environs, County Mayo, its associated Environmental Report and Natura Impact Statement will be adopted on the 27th November 2024.
The Masterplan for Moorehall and Environs, County Mayo was prepared by Mayo County Council in collaboration with the National Parks and Wildlife Service and Coillte. A copy of the Masterplan will be available for inspection and shall be kept available at:

The SEA statement is also available for inspection which summarises how environmental considerations have been integrated into the masterplan and how the environmental report prepared pursuant to Article 12 of the above regulations, submissions and observations made to the competent authority in response to a notice under Article 13, and any consultations under article 14, have been taken into account during the preparation of the Masterplan.
The SEA statement also sets out the reasons for choosing the Masterplan in the light of the other reasonable alternatives dealt with, and the measures decided upon to monitor, in accordance with Article 17, the significant environmental effects of implementation of the plan or programme, or modification to a plan or programme.
In accordance with Article 16 above, a newspaper notice was published in the Connaught Telegraph on the 27th of November 2024.
