Pursuant to the requirements of Section 179 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 as amended, and Part 8 of the Planning and Development Regulations 2001, as amended, Notice is hereby given that Mayo County Council proposes to carry out a development, particulars of which are set out in the Schedule hereunder.

The proposed development consists of the demolition of the existing derelict structure and the construction of 3 No Dwelling Units comprising two 1-bed apartments, and one 1-bed bungalow. The proposal includes all associated site development works including provision of vehicular access, footpaths, parking, public lighting, landscaping, associated earthworks, utilities, services connections, drainage with connections to public mains and associated ancillary works at Convent Road, Ballinrobe, Co Mayo.

Plans and particulars of the proposed development will be available for viewing on the on-line portal https://planning.localgov.ie  and also for viewing or purchase at any of the following Offices of Mayo County Council, during normal opening hours for the transaction of business, at a fee not exceeding the reasonable cost of making a copy:

For a period from the 28th January 2025 to the 26th of February 2025, inclusive.

Submissions or observations in respect to the proposed development, dealing with the proper planning and sustainable development of the area in which the development would be situated, may be made:

                                         not later than 12th of March 2025

Mayo County Council, as the competent authority, has carried out a Screening Report for the Convent Road site and a determination was made that a Stage 2 Appropriate Assessment was not required.                                        

In accordance with Parts 1 & 2 of Schedule 5 of the Planning & Development Regulations, an Environmental Impact Assessment is not applicable in this regard.
