Oweninny Power Designated Activity Company has developed a Windfarm at Oweninny, Bellacorick Co. Mayo. A Community Benefit Fund has been established as a condition of planning consent.
The Oweninny Community Benefit Fund Scheme is managed by Mayo County Council, who have established a representative Board of Directors to oversee the Governance of the Fund.
Applications are sought from clubs, associations, and other groups whose work will support community-based initiatives and improvement projects.
NOTE:- This application refers only to funding under CATEGORY 4, small-scale capital projects, REST OF COUNTY, (outside Oweninny Targeted Area). Maximum Grant allowable is €5,000. Applications will be evaluated in line with the Qualifying Criteria in accordance with OCBF Guidelines 2026 – please read OCBF Guidelines 2026, before completing this Application Form.
Mayo County Council’s Policy on Community Benefit Contributions required for certain major developments will be adhered to.
