Draft Ballina Local Transport Plan

Notice is hereby given that Mayo County Council has prepared a Draft Local Transport Plan (LTP) for Ballina.

The Draft Ballina Local Transport Plan (LTP) will be on public display and may be inspected from Tuesday, 19th December 2023 to Thursday, 8th February 2024 (excluding weekends and public holidays) at the following location:

  • Ballina Civic Offices, Arran Place, Ballina, Co. Mayo F26 E5D7 (Monday-Friday 9:30am-4:30pm)

A Public Consultation drop-in session on the Draft LTP will be held on Wednesday, 31st January 2024 from 4:00pm to 7:30pm in the Ballina Civic Offices (as above)

Written submissions or observations in respect of the Draft LTP for Ballina made to the Roads Authority during such period will be taken into consideration before the Plan is finalised by Mayo County Council.

How to make a submission

Written observations or submissions in respect of the Draft LTP for Ballina made to the Roads Authority during such period will be taken into consideration before the Plan is finalised by Mayo County Council.

Submissions/Observations must be received between Tuesday, 19th December 2023 to Thursday, 8th February 2024 (4:30pm)

Submissions/observations to be made by one medium only and should include:

  • Full Name & Address of person making submission/observation a map (if required for identification purposes)
  • Details of organisation/community group/company which you represent where relevant.

Submissions/Observations may be made using this website or by post.

Emailed submissions will not be accepted

Children or groups or associations representing the interests of children, are entitled, and encouraged to make submissions or observations on the Draft LTP.

All observations or submissions received before the closing date will be taken into consideration before the making of the Ballina Local Transport Plan.

Observations or submissions must include the full name and address of the person(s) making the submission and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.

You should ensure that no vexatious, libelous, or confidential information, including confidential information relating to a third party (in respect of which the third party has not, expressly, or impliedly in the circumstances, consented to its disclosure) is included in your submission. The Roads Authority reserves the right to redact any submission or part thereof that does not comply with this requirement.

In order to assist us in complying with Data Protection and GDPR please include your name and contact details (and where relevant, details of any organisation, community group or company etc., which you represent), on a separate sheet to the content of your submission/ observation. This processing of your personal data is lawful under Article 6 (1)(e) of the GDPR regulations. The Council’s Data Protection Policy is available on the Council website.

Mayo County Council is subject to the provisions of the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act (as amended).

All observations or submissions received during the above time period will be taken into consideration before the making of the Ballina Local Transport Plan 2024.
